Because he's a softie and it's quite difficult for him to make harsh decisions. He needs someone heartless as a co-owner, not his friends (who always follow his decisions anyway). If the KR owner were someone like Vijay Mallya, Mr B and the rest of his non-performing aides had been sacked and replaced mid-game (and he would have interfered with team composition as well). SRK wants his team to win, but he also thinks of them as his kids. Emotional attachment is all very good and nice, but it's not going to win us matches.
